A Futuristic Update Lands In Tomorrowland To Replace Dated Cool Ship

A new Cool Ship Kiosk has been added to Tomorrowland

The Cool Ship and Cool Scanner snack spot closed abruptly in May and the Walt Disney World team began removing it from the Tomorrowland skyline. After a lengthy refurbishment, a new structure has been installed in the Magic Kingdom area, debuting a new, modernized look. The My Disney Experience App still shows the location closed with a note that the location will reopen to hungry guests later this year. Tomorrowland visitors will have to wait a bit longer to grab their Cool Ship popcorn refills and Mickey Ice Cream Bars.

With a similar style to the Joffrey's Revive kiosk that's located across Tomorrowland, the new structure includes swooping roof panels, sleek curves, and a wraparound counter with multiple service windows. The Cool Ship kiosk upgrade is part of many updates coming to bring Tomorrowland back into the future. On August 4th, Star Command paused all trips on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin as part of a massive overhaul to update the ride. Astro Orbiter reopened in June after a lengthy closer, and TRON Lightcycle/Run is currently sporting a TRON: Ares Overlay of red.
