Last year in May, Mom and I visited Disney Springs, indulging in a little resort hopping. Mom refused to visit the parks, saying they are for kids. Not to mention the walking, standing in lines, and strollers biting your ankles. She had a wonderful time on property, so much that on Christmas Day she told me she wanted to go to Disney with me.

The newly updated system first rolled out at Disneyland a few weeks ago. It’s now made its way to Walt Disney World’s dining reservation website and My Disney Experience app.

I am sure many of you recognize the following situation: you race to get ready for early entry at Animal Kingdom, arrive, do a few rides, and then realize you didn’t plan breakfast.  Your choices are quick serve, a quick bite, or a nice meal.  My recommendation is to head back to the entrance and enjoy a reasonably priced, fun meal at The Rainforest Cafe.

Would you believe me if I said you could eat 3 meals at Disney for under $25? For many people, like myself, dining at Disney is part of the fun, but it can get very expensive, very quickly. I love trying new restaurants and rarely stick to a food budget, but for one day I decided to eat frugally to show just how affordable Disney dining can be.

Some of us love the organization and planning that comes with a Disney trip, others not so much. Can being flexible with your plans lead to more enjoyable vacation or does it become a boring chore?
