Breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe

Start your day at the Rainforest Cafe: Animal Kingdom.

I am sure many of you recognize the following situation: you race to get ready for early entry at Animal Kingdom, arrive, do a few rides, and then realize you didn’t plan breakfast. Your choices are quick serve, a quick bite, or a nice meal. My recommendation is to head back to the entrance and enjoy a reasonably priced, fun meal at The Rainforest Cafe.

You can make dining reservations through the My Disney Experience app, or just walk up. I think people may sleep on the Rainforest breakfast. It opens at 8:30 am and has something for everyone. Prices average from $15-$25.
The decor, if you haven’t been here before, is unique. It looks like an Amazon rainforest with animals spread throughout the jungle. If you fancy a drink, they have a bar under a giant mushroom with stools painted with various animal patterns.
I had the Bananas Foster Pancakes which were crazy delicious and did not need any syrup. My mom enjoyed her breakfast of a Bandit's Plate. Both dishes were under $20 and service was great too.

Thanks for sharing this. I’ve never considered Rainforest for breakfast but it looks like a solid, affordable option. Eating mid to late morning would probably fill me up until dinner too!
Typically this is the type of restaurant at Walt Disney World that I would avoid. But for breakfast at Animal Kingdom, it is a really good option. It is never really busy, with reservations on the day. And the breakfast selection is vast and interesting. I also had the banana fosters pancakes and they were really really good!
