An extensive refurbishment is coming to this Tomorrowland attraction.

Emperor Zurg can rest easy as Disney's Magic Kingdom will see the temporary closure of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Starting on August 4th, 2025, this intergalactic Tomorrowland attraction will be closed for a massive overhaul that will include:
Updated ride vehicles inspired by Star Command that will have handheld blasters.
Enhanced Gameplay with video monitors and real-time scoring.
New Show Scenes and Characters. A robot named Buddy is in the works to help guests with blaster skills before they are launched into space.
No reopening date is scheduled at this time for the Tomorrowland attraction, however, it is expected that Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin will not reopen until 2026.

Refurbishments seem to be all the rage at Disney's Magic Kingdom. Tomorrowland's Astro Blaster reopened June 27th after an almost 6 months maintenance work. Journey with the Little Mermaid will see a very brief closure in July for refurbishment. And of course, Frontierland and Liberty Square are seeing a mass overhaul with the upcoming Cars land, Villains land, and the permanent closure of Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat.
Will the lengthy closer of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger spin affect your coming Walt Disney World trips?
