New TRON: Ares Overlay Coming To Magic Kingdom

New ride overlay coming to TRON Ride at Magic Kingdom in September


Destination D23 is underway at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and news is starting to coming through! The first parks update from D23 is an exciting new overlay coming to a fan favorite ride at Magic Kingdom.


Speaking at the Walt Disney Studios showcase at D23, Yvette Nicole Brown announced that TRON Lightcycle/Run at Magic Kingdom will be getting a new overlay, tying in the with the release of TRON: Ares film.

Starting September 15th, for a limited time, guests can experience TRON: Lightcycle/Run with vibrant red tunnels and orange light trails. This is contrasting to the classic blue colours you will find in the Grid.

That's not all! Adding to the immersive experience, you can delight your ears with the sounds of Nine Inch Nails! The industrial sounds will push the energy up and improve the experience.


The experience will also be coming to Shanghai Disneyland starting September 16th for a limited time, and you can see Tron: Ares in theatres starting October 10th.
