The Highway In The Sky Is Getting A New Look!

As part of ongoing enhancements to the Walt Disney World Monorail System, new glow-in-the-dark exterior logos are being added to all 12 monorail trains. This update builds upon previous LED upgrades introduced during the resort’s 50th anniversary in 2021, which included beam-illuminating lights under each train in colors matching their respective monorail names.

Monorail Blue with a New Logo

According to Disney, the new logos will be highly visible at night, improving visibility and adding a futuristic touch to the monorail fleet. In daylight, the logos have a holographic appearance, as seen on Monorail Blue, which recently returned from a minor refurbishment in 2024. A Cast Member was seen alongside the updated train wearing the standard blue “Transport” costume.

The exact rollout date hasn’t been specified, but Disney confirmed that all trains will receive the new glowing logos within the week to enhance the highway in the sky with its new look.
