This magical experience will unlock the magic at World of Disney
Disney Springs has added an extra sprinkle of excitement to mornings at World of Disney. Each day, one lucky guest (often a child or family) will get the honor of helping “open” the store in true Disney fashion.
At rope drop, a whimsical oversized lock and key display sits at the entrance, setting the stage for the magical moment. For Halloween, the lock features festive details: a gray key box adorned with a Mickey pumpkin icon, bats, and a green base. Cast Members shared that the display would transform with the seasons, so guests can look forward to fresh designs throughout the year.
The chosen guest receives a giant key, complete with a Disney “D” handle, a castle-shaped end, and a middle section that glows with colorful stars. With a turn of the key, the oversized lock clicks open, the doors swing wide, and a red carpet is revealed. Cast Members line the entrance, welcoming guests with smiles, waves, and playful bubble wands—making the start of the day at World of Disney truly magical.
The magical moment doesn’t end there. The participant also receives a keepsake card reading “I unlocked the magic at World of Disney”, featuring an image of the key and a favorite Walt Disney quote: “It takes people to make the dream a reality.” Each card includes a golden “Own the Magic” sticker to remember the day.
