Disney's Pop Century Resort Rooms and Lobby Undergo Refurbishment Through Early 2026

Guests can expect a bit of disruption during the day for the next several months as Pop Century gets an update

Disney has begun a sweeping renovation at Pop  Century Resort that spans guest rooms, lobby, and transportation. First, the soft‑goods room refurb that started in March 2025 will run through mid‑February 2026. This update sees improved flooring, wall coverings, furniture, linens, décor, and curtain upgrades to rooms building by building while dining, pools, and amenities remain open. Guests are warned that they may hear and see construction during the day.

In addition to the room updates, from July  21 through early October 2025, the lobby will receive a retro‑inspired refresh, showcasing vibrant colored tiles, triangular skylights, display cases, and retro-themed furnishings. The lobby will remain open during this period, though guests might notice light construction happening during the day.

Lastly, from January 25–31, 2026, the Disney Skyliner will close for annual maintenance. In its place, complimentary bus transportation will link Pop Century to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Skyliner resorts, and transportation hubs.
