Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Tightens Parking Access Amid Entrance Construction

There will be strict Parking restrictions at the Polynesian during construction

Aloha Disney-goers! Major changes have just been implemented at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Effective immediately, and until further notice, only guests with a valid resort or dining reservation will be allowed to park at the resort. There are no exceptions to this updated policy.

This strict parking restriction, referred to as a “hard close”, comes as the resort undergoes extensive construction to permanently relocate its main entrance and reconfigure the bus area, marking a significant first in the resort’s history.

Disney’s official statement notes that from May 2025 through 2026, parts of the Polynesian Village Resort and Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will be refurbished. While all dining, pools, and other amenities will remain open, daytime construction activity will be visible, and some views may be impacted.

Guests should plan for extra travel time when visiting the resort due to potential delays from the reworked traffic flow. Book your stay or a dining reservation as casual visitors will be turned away at the gate.
