All Aboard The Walt Disney World Railroad "Shuttle"

Choo-Choo the Walt Disney World Railroad to begin it's "Shuttle Mode" Operations

With the closures and construction at Disney's Magic Kingdom, the Walt Disney World Railroad has made a switch to "Shuttle Mode" to account for the upcoming expansion to Magic Kingdom's Frontierland.

Starting July 7th, the railroad will travel in both directions to allow for stops at Fantasyland, and Main Street U.S.A. During the construction at Magic Kingdom, the recently refurbished Frontierland Station will remain closed. For those not interested in facing backwards during their trip to the Storybook Circus Stop, several benches onboard the train have been modified to face in the opposite direction.

As part of this "Shuttle Mode" experiment, the train conductor has invited Experiment 626 onboard the Walt Disney World Railroad. Stitch will be featured as part of the train narration to entertain guests as they travel backwards through Tomorrowland to Fantasyland.

This is not the first time the Walt Disney World Railroad has gone into "Shuttle Mode". In recent Disney history, the railroad operated as a shuttle between Main Street U.S.A. and Frontierland during the demolition of Mickey's Toontown Fair into what is current day Storybook Circus. The Walt Disney World Railroad will remain in "Shuttle Mode" until the opening of the new Disney Villains Land in Magic Kingdom.
