It's a new verse after all thanks to a Disney Legend

Disney Legends Robert and Richard Sherman have been celebrated around the world for their inspiring and catching Disney Songs. From their Oscar Award Winning "Chim Chim Cher-ee" to "The Bare Necessities, these brothers brought many Disney Films to life with their beautifully composed film scores. Outside of the films, the Sherman Brothers influenced many classic Walt Disney World park tunes, like "There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" and "One Little Spark". What may be their most notable park contribution is the theme song to "it's a small world."

The Sherman bothers wrote the original verse to the song for the New York World's Fair in 1964. Before his passing in 2024, Richard wrote a new verse to the boat ride's tunes, making it his final gift to Disney. Starting on July 17th, 2025, this new last verse will debut in the finale scene of "it's a small world" honoring these Disney Legend. Joining both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World attractions, the new final scene lyrics will now include:
Mother earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we give makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It's a small world after all

For those that enjoy brining the sounds of Disney into their home, the 70th Anniversary special edition vinyl for "It's A Small World" will included the updated final verse. The vinyl can be purchased at Disney Music Emporium starting July 18th.
The "it's a small world" tune is an iconic Sherman Bothers master pieces, what is your favorite tune from this brotherly duo?
