Exciting progress is underway at The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk, as a new permit has been filed for the installation of the restaurant’s kitchen.
This development brings the long-awaited dining destination closer to opening, possibly later this year. Occupying the former ESPN Club space, The Cake Bake Shop promises a whimsical atmosphere with counters lined with handmade cakes, cookies, French macarons, brownies, and more, all beautifully displayed on French porcelain platters.
Originally set to open in 2023, the date was pushed to 2024 due to construction delays. Now, with the kitchen buildout in progress, guests may soon indulge in this ultimate bakery experience featuring Afternoon Tea, exquisite desserts, champagne, and cocktails. This destination is expected to become a favorite among Disney’s BoardWalk visitors of all ages, adding yet another delightful dining option to the Walt Disney World Resort.
