New Manatee Arrives at EPCOT

The Seas with Nemo and Friends in EPCOT has just welcomed it's latest guest. Say hello to Mermaid!

Mermaid is an approximately 525 pound manatee that was rescued from Homosassa River north of Tampa in February. Unfortunately she needed critical care after her rescue but is doing well and has started the next step of her journey, at Disney, to be released back into the wild. It's hoped while at Disney she will gain strength and weight.

Disney is collaborating with the Manatee Rescue and Rehabilitation Partnership to help manatees that need assistance.

We wish this adorable manatee all the best and hope she regains her full strength soon!
