Disney Announces Plans For New Theme Park In Abu Dhabi

The announcement was made just before their Q2 earnings call.

The Walt Disney Company has dropped some surprising news this morning. They, along with Miral, will be creating a new theme park in Abu Dhabi in the UAE (United Arab Emirates). The new park will be located on Yas Island, a waterfront resort. Miral is one of the leading creators of immersive destinations and experiences in that region.

 

The new resort while bearing the Disney name will be developed and built by Miral. Imagineers will still be leading the creative design and operations to make sure that this new park provides that signature Disney experience.

There is currently no timeline for the opening of this new theme park, but we’ll be sure to bring you that information once we have it.
