The Upcoming Pirates Tavern Gets A Name: The Beak and Barrel

Avast ye land lubbers! We’ve got more details about the upcoming Pirate of the Caribbean Tavern coming to the Magic Kingdom

Disney has just dropped some exciting details about the new Pirates themed tavern coming to the Magic Kingdom! The Beak and Barrel, the official name, will be in Adventureland just outside of the famous ride.

 

Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, proprietor of this establishment will be joined by her sidekick Rummy, the tavern’s quartermaster. Rummy will be keeping an eye on the bar and its patrons while sharing tales from his days of piracy and leading rousing toasts.

 

Cozy tavern with lively crowd, pirate on bar with parrot, candles lit. Warm, inviting atmosphere with wooden decor and chandeliers. This is what is dubbed as The Mess section of the bar which is overseen by Rummy the parrot.  This is the Beak & Barrel lounge coming to Disney's Magic Kingdom.

The bar will be divided into two different sections, The Mess and Captains’ Quarters. Guest enjoying The Mess will experience the rowdiness and noise that only true pirates can bring. While taking in the expansive bar be sure to look for the Enchanted Rum bottle, rumored to be enchanted by Tia Dalma (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest) which serves as the source of the tavern’s specialty drinks.

 

Cozy tavern with people chatting and drinking. Warm candlelight, chandeliers, pirate flag, and ship models. Relaxed, cheerful atmosphere. This area is known as the Captains' Quarters.   This is the Beak & Barrel lounge coming to Disney's Magic Kingdom.
The Captains' Quarters

Those seated in the Captains’ Quarters can enjoy a bit of a refined environment with fine artwork and drapery that has lived to tell the tales. Be sure to take a closer look at the five miniature ships in glass bottles, as they are rumored to come alive.


Similar to Oga's Cantina at Hollywood Studios, this tavern will have a 45 minute time limit so that all guests may get to enjoy the experience.
