Bay Lake Tower Refurbishment Timeframe Extended

Fans of Bay Lake Tower will have to wait just a bit longer for its refurbishment to be complete.

Fireworks light up the night sky over a brightly lit hotel by the water, creating a festive and vibrant atmosphere. Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is undergoing a lengthy refurbishment which is expected to be completed in 2026.

Disney has officially announced via their website that the refurbishment of Bay Lake Tower at The Contemporary Resort will continue through July 2026. Bay Lake Tower is part of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts collection. Bay Lake Tower has been undergoing a refurbishment since September 2024. Walt Disney World Resorts have updated this timeline on their website to say the following:

 

“September 2024 Through July 2026

Refurbishments will occur in select areas of Disney’s Contemporary Resort—including Bay Lake Tower. Please allow for extra travel time. Guests may also see and hear construction during their stay.”
