Disney’s Blizzard Beach will officially wrap up its 2025 summer season on Sunday, September 7, marking the final day both Disney water parks operate together, a first since 2019. Beginning Monday, September 8, Blizzard Beach will shut down for its annual refurbishment, likely continuing into the winter months as maintenance schedules return to pre‑pandemic norms.

Meanwhile, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will remain open, offering guests a tropical escape through fall and early winter.

This staggered closure ensures at least one water park remains operational, providing continuity for vacationers and Disney resort guests—who enjoy perks like free water‑park admission on check‑in day. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have shared a summer season run from May 21 through September 7, 2025, and this year’s plan shifts back to alternating seasonal refurb schedules
