Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Returns with Iconic Attractions and Tropical Thrills

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is making a splash once again as it reopens to guests today, May 1st, 2025, following a seasonal refurbishment. Located at Walt Disney World Resort, Typhoon Lagoon is home to some of the most beloved aquatic attractions, including Miss Adventure Falls, the Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster, the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, and the relaxing Castaway Creek.

The reopening of Typhoon Lagoon as Blizzard Beach closes for its refurbishment ensures guests can take advantage of the free water park entry on arrival day and enjoy year-round water park adventures while keeping the experience fresh and well-maintained. Typhoon Lagoon’s lush, tropical theme and thrilling water rides make it a perfect destination for cooling off in the Florida sun. Whether you’re grabbing a pineapple DOLE Whip or conquering the surf, May 1st marks the return of one of Disney’s most treasured summer playgrounds. Be sure to check park hours and availability before your visit.

I adore Typhoon Lagoon, but Blizzard Beach has been closed during my visits every trip since 2017. So I am really hoping for Blizzard Beach to be the open park in December this year!
