"If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will!"
On Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 Hollywood Studios became home to two brand new attractions.
One was the newly revamped Little Mermaid show, "A Musical Adventure," and the other was the much-anticipated Villains show, "Unfairly Ever After".
We were lucky enough to see both shows on opening day and even luckier to preview Villains two days earlier.

Situated at the Sunset Showcase on Sunset Boulevard, previously home to the Lightning McQueen Cars Show, the venue has been newly refurbished with an amazing stage and seating, colorfully designed with a villains' theme. The Disney Imagineers took two years to develop the show using the latest technology, and they have done a great job. The stage looks amazing.

The Magic Mirror from Snow White is the host of the show, and he is annoyed that all the villains want him to answer their questions.
Multiple villains are trapped behind the Magic Mirror, and they all try to break free, but only three are powerful enough to succeed: Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella De Vil.
The trio complains that they have been treated unfairly, but it is up to the audience to judge who might have a case for redemption.
Of course, every nefarious foe needs their own signature song, and we are treated to amazing live performances of well remembered tunes, as well as a brand-new original composition.

This is not the first time that Sunset Showcase Theater has been home to the more dastardly, dark side of Disney characters. In 2016 the show "Club Villain" was performed on stage, starring Dr Facilier from "The Princess and the Frog."
Of course, a new show means new merch.
A hoard of memorabilia is on display at the "Once Upon A Time" store located in Sunset Boulevard.
Collectable items available to purchase include:
T-shirts
Travel mugs
Ornaments
Magnets.
Disney fans have long been clamoring for a fifth park, themed around the villains. Whilst that idea still seems very far off, "Unhappily Ever After" makes for a very entertaining stop-gap.
Full of fun, music, audience participation and devilish wit, I dare you not to embrace your dark-side.
