The 2025 Marathon Race Weekend Maps Are Out!
January brings with it the 2025 runDisney Marathon weekend. January 8th - 12th, runDisney will be hosting their big race weekend celebrating Mickey and friends. The race courses are now live and will affect travel to and from the parks each morning.
Here’s what you need to know, if you’re visiting Walt Disney World during race weekend:
The maps confirm that all four races will start and end at EPCOT. This means traffic to and from the park in the morning will be busy, especially on Sunday (January 12th) after the full marathon.
Runners will not be done with the half or full marathon by time the park opens, so cast members will route park guests around the race course, whilst the last runners finish up.
For our Magic Kingdom travelers, there will be road closures from 5:30am - 9:30am on Saturday (January 11th), as runners race from EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom. Be sure to allow for extra travel time to the Magic Kingdom on this day. We anticipate more road closure announcements to come as the full marathon connects all four parks.
Wishing all our WDWAO members that are running tremendous success as they race through the courses! We hope these runDisney course maps help our non runners plan their visits too!
For these classic Disney themed races, be sure to check out the Disney inspired WDWAO Merchandise! Be dressed for success while out running! Celebrate running through EPCOT with our Geodesic Dome Collection, you'll be thanking WDWAO for these cool looks!
Dash through the Magic Kingdom with Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice in Wonderland inspired gear.
Do we have anyone taking on the Dopey Challenge and running all four races this weekend?
