The Cars and Villains expansions may start sooner than we think.
Disney has received permit approval for one of the biggest expansions in Magic Kingdom history. The permit to start construction on Rivers of America and the area beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will allow Disney to change the flow of water in the park for the upcoming Cars Land. This will require them to build the stormwater management master treatment facility and to reroute stormwater. While we still don’t have a closing date for the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Riverboat we’ll be sure to bring you that once Disney announces it.
