Disney's All Star Sports Resort Testing Self Checkout at Food Court
End Zone Food Court at Disney's All Star Sports Resort is testing a new self checkout option to help streamline ordering and paying for food. The testing began a few days ago and is set to run for 30 days.
The new process will have guests place their tray beneath a scanner and AI will scan the items. It should be noted that items do have to be separated to enable them to be scanned correctly. Modified or off menu items will be trickier to scan but cast members are on standby to help. They are also there to help if anything does scan incorrectly during the testing phase.
Once scanned items will be listed on a nearby screen and guests will be asked to pay. Unfortunately cash payment is not an option but MagicBand, credit and debit cards and even Disney gift cards are accepted.
This is the only location currently testing the checkout option, but we may see this coming to other locations in the future if testing goes well.
What do you think to the new checkout option?

Wow! This interesting and very modern. I wonder how successful this will be!! Hopefully it won't mean a reduction in jobs at Disney.
