New Character Meet and Greet Location Coming to Hollywood Studios

Get ready to go not just behind, but IN the scenes to some of Disney’s best stories to meet characters!


Disney has announced a whole new area coming to “The Magic of Disney Animation” located in Hollywood Studios, opening later summer 2026. This new area designated for character meet and greets will be called, “Off the Page!”.

This area is a collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering to bring guests into different types of departments from the animation studio. These departments include: 

  • Story 

  • Layout 

  • Hand-Drawn Animation 

  • Computer Animation 

  • Lighting  

  • Effects


These spaces are specifically designed as photo areas for guests to feel like they are a part of the animation magic that brings our favorite stories to life. Disney has announced that guests will be able to meet characters here including Rapunzel in the Layout department and Mulan in the Story department.


Disney has not announced any additional characters at this time, but be on the lookout for an update when they do make that announcement!
