Make your visits more magical by meeting princesses at a character dining experience!

There are many ways to meet the princesses that have inspired the classic Walt Disney Animated films. One way to interact with these fairy tale maidens is to dine with them at one of the Character Dining experiences at Walt Disney World. WDWAO Bloggers Heather and Ruth share their experiences with Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Never been to Cinderella's Royal Table? Check out Heather's review below. Heather's Visit to Cinderella's Royal Table:
Originally, I had some hesitation about dining here. I decided to jump in and do it this trip. For Cinderella's Royal Table, start by perusing the Prix Fixe menu and make sure there is something you like. You prepay for your party when you reserve this dining experience.
When you arrive, you will check in behind the castle. You will be welcomed through giant doors into an air conditioned grand lobby. Here, you will be in line to meet your first princess, Ms. Cinderella. There is a photo pass person taking photos here. Then, take a seat and wait for your party to be called. Once called, you'll be invited to ascend a spiral stair case or use a partition hidden elevator.
Upstairs, in the main dining area, it may be smaller then you expect. It has high stone ceilings with various crests and is royally decorated. You can see the carousel from the windows and hear the moderately loud hum of conversation and excitement of meeting princess royalty. You will still be able to comfortably hold a conversation at your table.
Your server will greet you and layout a wishing star for you to partake in a wishing ceremony. You will place an order for a beverage, appetizer, entree, and dessert. Most people will be able to find something. I enjoyed the salad - fresh greens with fruit mixed in. It was the best I have had at Disney!
My entree was filet mignon with asparagus and mashed potatoes, this did not disappoint as it was delicious. For dessert, I went with clock strikes twelve, chocolate decadence.

The princesses make their way around as you dine on your royal meal. Be sure to take pictures and interact. It was a fun experience as each princess has their own personality. The wishing ceremony was a fun experience to share with the room. Everyone making wishes at the same time. Ending the meal, you will receive a wand or sword to add to the commemoration of the fun.
Gratuity is included at 18%. You can let your server know if you have any discounts, like annual pass, DVC, or dining plans. They do reimburse to the original payment method in 5-7 business days. I went on a Sunday and was reimbursed by Thursday.
I found being in the castle an exciting experience as it was new to me. I enjoyed this enough that I may have to go again.
Cinderella’s Royal Table is a table service restaurant that offers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner all at over $60 per adult. The chefs at Cinderella’s Royal Table offer American Faire for those dining at the castle.
