A Little Pixie Dust Brings Uncommon Character Encounters for Extra Summer Fun at Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom is buzzing with unexpected delights as Walt Disney World gears up for its upcoming Cool Kid Summer event, running May 27 through September 1, 2025. In what feels like a game of “character hide and seek,” guests are stumbling upon rare and beloved Disney characters in surprising corners of the park — and it’s all part of the early rollout for this seasonal celebration.

In Fantasyland, Peter Pan and Wendy have been spotted flitting between the Neverland Map and the nearby Tangled restrooms, while Flynn Rider and Rapunzel are creating romantic chaos just steps away. Meanwhile, over in Tomorrowland, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl are stretching their legs near Star Traders, giving guests heroic glimpses of super family power.

But it’s not all walk-and-wander — some characters are sticking to set locations with full PhotoPass support. Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen are dazzling guests in their greenest finery at the Enchanted Glade Gazebo, sharing the scenic spot with rotating visits from Pocahontas, who has briefly left Animal Kingdom for this limited-time Magic Kingdom character meet and greet. Raya, usually a rare find, now has a spot across from the Skipper Canteen in Adventureland — complete with photographer in tow. Nearby, Mary Poppins, Bert, and a dapper penguin are making Main Street U.S.A. even more magical, albeit briefly and without a fixed location. Lady Tremaine has joined forces with her famously dramatic daughters, Anastasia and Drizella, near Cinderella Fountain. And Princess Elena has a new royal hangout on the porch of the Town Square Theater, charming guests with a more traditional meet and greet setup.

Keep those eyes open — Magic Kingdom’s character meet and greet surprises are part of the most whimsical warm-up Disney has ever delivered.
