EPCOT Has Made Some Changes to Rope Drop Process
Earlier this week it was announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT would be changing from a virtual queue to a stand by queue on February 25th. Ahead of this change which we anticipate will draw a larger crowd to rope drop at EPCOT to try and get ahead of the crowd, early entry process has been amended at the park.
Guests staying at Disney resorts that qualify for early park entry and guests who have early dining reservations will now head to the far right of Spaceship Earth to gain access to the park. Regular Park guests are now able to enter into the park as far as the Spaceship Earth queue. It should be noted that regular guests cannot enter the queue until park opens.
Although only small changes this allows more space for guests who are rope dropping EPCOT without holding at the turnstiles.
