Walt Disney World introduces new check luggage at bag-drop for delivery to your resort for guests arriving on Southwest flights

Walt Disney World Resort is taking its “Airport Luggage Transfer” pilot program to the next level by now including arrivals on Southwest Airlines flights into Orlando International Airport (MCO), beginning November 18, 2025.

Under this expansion, eligible guests flying domestically with Southwest and staying at select Disney Resort hotels can bypass baggage claim entirely by dropping their checked bags at the Southwest bag-drop area or ticket counter, and have them delivered straight to their resort.

While the full list of participating resorts has not yet been announced, this move builds on the earlier launch of the service for departures at Value Resort hotels. Guests wishing to take advantage of the service will receive an email notification this week; registration opens 30 days before departure and closes 5 days prior. For guests seeking a more seamless arrival experience, this luggage-delivery offering could mean fewer hassles at the airport and more time enjoying the magic.

If you could drop your bags and walk straight into vacation mode at Disney, would you take it?
