Victorian Elegance Meets Modern Magic in a Timeless Reimagining of this Fan Favourite Resort
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is getting a graceful glow-up, with a lobby renovation that blends its signature Victorian charm with fresh, elevated touches.
At the center of the transformation is a brand-new lobby bar, styled after the resort’s whimsical birdcage motif, featuring intricate woodwork, stained glass, and brass flourishes.
Classic elements like the beloved cage-style elevator remain, while new murals and stained-glass panels introduce vibrant avian details.
The makeover extends to the grand staircase, check-in area, and seating spaces, all refreshed with botanical patterns, elegant furniture, and a soft, garden-inspired color palette.
Imagineers are committed to honoring the resort’s rich legacy while crafting an even more welcoming experience for today’s guests. The much anticipated newly refurbished lobby will add to the already upgraded guest rooms and reimagined dining experiences that have come to the Grand Floridian over the last few years.

Will you be planning a stay at the newly upgraded Grand Floridian Resort?

This is going to look great once it is done. We are staying in December and so I'm hoping it will be completed by then. I am very sad at the rumours of no Gingerbread House this year. This will be our first time visiting during the holidays and the gingerbread house was high on my list! Fingers crossed, the rumour isn't true!
